BeModern brand delivery times:

Electric fire suites & fireplace surrounds - within 21 days (two man crew).

Two man crew delivery usually takes place within 21 days as stated above.

Lead time for all marble products is 5 weeks.

After your order has been processed, Be Modern couriers will contact you directly to book a suitable delivery slot.

Electric fires, banbury stove - within 5 working days.

These products are sent by a 3rd party courier and take a lot faster to get delivered. It is normally 3-5 working days after the order has been processed by us. Be Modern will still contact you directly to book a suitable delivery slot.

Ekofires brand delivery times:

3-5 working days.

You will be further advised on specific delivery times once your order is processed and dispatched.

Gardeco delivery times:

Within 3-5 working days after despatch. However, dispatch times are much longer now due to COVID-19's situation in the country. Most products' lead time is 2 weeks, Mexican chimenas + Chimalin products - up to 3 weeks. 

Gardeco's delivery service to Scotland:

Unfortunately there is no delivery service to Scotland.

Pre-ordering

It is your responsibility to ensure the goods ordered are suitable for the proposed installation into your home. You should ensure that you have checked all measurements and installation requirements before placing the order. No refunds will be made in respect of items being incorrectly ordered.

Order Processing

We process orders on this web site using a custom built shopping cart. The last stage of this process is a confirmation page that sets out the final details of your order including the cost of goods we will supply. After your payment has been processed, we will send you an email order acknowledgement detailing the products you have ordered. Please note this email acknowledgement is not an order confirmation or an order acceptance by us. Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will only take place on dispatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.

Delivery

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit/debit card, it will be dispatched as soon as possible.

Dispatch times of items are stated on each individual product's page.

On delivery all goods must be signed for by an adult aged 18 or over.

We shall make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescale but delays can occur due to unforeseen circumstances which are beyond our control. We shall therefore accept no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales.

Faulty or Damaged goods

When we deliver goods to your premises, they must be inspected for any defect or damage. If any defect or damage is noted the product will be uplifted immediately and returned to our supplier's warehouse. In these circumstances you will be entitled to either a replacement, re-delivered at no expense to yourself or a full refund including any delivery charges paid. This does not affect any other product safeguards to which you are entitled under product warranties.

Returns and refunds

You are urged to thoroughly check the product at the point of delivery.

Returns are accepted if the product is damaged upon arrival on condition that the return is requested within 14 days.

Returns will not be accepted if the product has been installed, fitted, used; or the request is not made within 14 days.

If the product is delivered successfully without any damage/defect but you still wish to return it - it is your responsibility and expense to send the item back to us safely. We will then examine in it the warehouse and, if it is in resellable condition, issue a full refund (minus delivery costs).

Cancellation rights

An order can be cancelled within 14 days of its delivery.

We accept cancellations with no charge prior to delivery.

If you decide to cancel the order after the item has been delivered, we will refund your money in full, however we would ask that you pay the delivery charge required to get the product back to us.

Electric fires.

Q. Are electric fires in your range noisy?

A. All electric fires that are currently offered on our online store are fan based. It means they are not completely silent. These fires use built-in fans to blow warm air into the room. This creates a slight noise when in operation. 

Q. What are the running costs of these appliances?

A. The running cost can be calculated using this formula: Running Cost = Energy Input x Your Electricity Supply Tariff. Your ‘Electricity Supply Tariff’ can be taken from a recent electricity bill, or contact your electricity supplier. Q. Are the fires easy to operate?

A. Yes. Electric fires and suites have switches located directly on them. Some models also feature remote controls, others have both together: switches and a remote.

Q. What’s the difference between an LED and LCD flame effect?

A. The difference is in technology used to produce flames. LCD based fires have High Definition monitors with different video scenes for you to choose from. LED, on the other hand, is essentially a light source that is used for flame imitation. Q. How safe electric fires actually are?

A. Very safe. For your added safety all our electric fires are fitted with a thermal trip switch that monitors the temperature inside the appliance, and senses any change if it becomes covered or displaced for any reason.

Q. How long are power cables of Be Modern fires? What's their length?

A. All Be Modern electric fires/ suites have the same approximate length of their power cables - 1.5m (150cm).

Q. Can the flame effect be used independently of heat?

A. Yes. All electric fires can be operated on a 'flame effect only' setting, which makes these appliances usable all year round.

Q. What if I change my mind?

A. We accept cancellations with no charge whatsoever prior to delivery.

Q. What if I change my mind after delivery?

A. We would make a refund, however we would ask that you pay the delivery charge.

Q. What if the product is damaged during delivery?

A. We will refund you in full or arrange a re-delivery.

Q. What if I am not available when the courier tries to deliver?

A. The courier will leave a card to say they have called. This will provide you with details of the couriers nearest depot and contact details including a reference number. This will enable you to arrange a re-delivery directly with the courier.

Q. What if I cancel my delivery?

A. Your delivery will have to be re-scheduled and this could considerably delay your final delivery day.
